My Newest Pinoy Rant

In the light of all the hulabaloo that surrounds Philippine politics right now, allow me to speak up, though my voice may seem small. I'm gonna do it bulleted style. I'm too scattered to construct my thoughts the old fashioned, paragraphed paradigm. So here it is.

* Gut feel tells me not to COMPLETELY BELIEVE everything Jun Lozada is saying.
*It is a given fact that the Philippine bureaucracy is rotten. But that did not start during the Arroyo administration. I know all of us wanted a change, who doesn't, right?!
*Another People Power Revolution won't solve the age-old problem!!!!!!!! Unity is the answer!
*I don't think Cory Aquino is really nationalistic. If she (and the oppositionists) is really nationalistic, she would have thought of the disgust and the bad effect it would have on our economy. Political instability is a big factor in delaying the country's economic growth and we are so fetching good at that!!!!
*We need to get our act together if we all want positive difference!!!!
*But please, no more rallies again. Those things make me numb and apathetic.

hmmm, i actually believe evrything that jun has said. he can't possibly make it all up. he is very cosistent with his statements and never have i seen him read pre-made statements. and clearly malacanan has attempted to foil his appearance at the senate inquiry. so clearly malacanan has something to hide from the public. and failed to do so.

but i agree when u said that all we need is unity. we need to unite and people power simply wont solve our problems. we cant eliminate the deep rooted sins that have enslave us for ages. we need a moral revolution and we need to start it from the top.

i dont see rallies as bad for our country.not at all. for sometimes even pastors and priests commit mistakes consciously or unconsciously so we need to remind them that that is wrong and u need to change.

and another thing, i think we really need to stand up and march on the streets to show a clear sign to those in power that enough is enough and the filipinos are not dumb as they think we are and they cant fool us anymore. we know that the 2004 election has been rigged. we know that some government projects have been deliberately over price and enough is enough. those people in government needs to get their acts straight or off they go!

sometimes, real life can be like those TV series that we watch nowadays. not all TV series were fictional. and so much like a drama as it may seem, what's happening in our politics is definitely real...

but sometimes, i couldn't help but hope that as i watch those senate hearing on TV and such, i could fast forward everything so i may know what'll happen in the end.

i sometimes hope that jun lozada's point of view could be seen 24/7 so i may know about what he was thinking and for me to 100% believe everything he was saying.

as i watch jun lozada deliver his "speech" as what they say, part of me believes that he is telling the truth. in fact, all of me is trying to believe that he was saying was true.

but also, i couldn't supress the fact that sometimes, i hope that i can actually penetrate his mind and read all his thoughts as he speak, so i may know if he really was telling the truth or not.

all these conspiracy happening to our government nowadays are just making the economy more complicated. i admit i want to believe jun lozada and i admit that i am also against GMA's regime but don't you guys think that instead of thinking about whether GMA should stay or not; instead of telling the whole country on whom to believe, we should just go and do something to help our economy rather than skulking along the streets, rallying for what we believed was right?

i have nothing against rallies and such, what i was trying to impose was that i guess it was better to just DO SOMETHING rather than SCREAM SOMETHING...

for i believe that CHANGE can only be done if we work...not if we talk... =]

Honestly...My oath prevents me from taking sides. One of the major (very, very well-known) personalities involved in this controversy was a former client. I rest my case.

Hi Mister (okay, that's really formal and so not me) anyway, like dhawell, I serously believe that Mr. Lozada is not making up things. It's clear that the people in the palaca are doing stuffs to make him look bad and not credible.

But the thing is, no matter how hard he tries, it's never gonna work out. Because he is "JUST" Jun Lozada and he's banging up against GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO (the great). David and Goliath, right?

Maybe this is why people are on the streets. Because altogether, they're not JUST a group of rallyists, they're a TEAM.

That's just my opinion. Peace man.

well, who's disagreeing with you mheemsical? by all means, i want you guys to speak up as well. what irritates me the most is that i know that mr lozada is just a part of a greater scheme to oust the government. who could the main perpetrators be? it could be anyone! from drilon, to cory, to jamby madrigal, to ping lacson, to the estrada's, binay's, you name it!
i think it is just freaking dumb to collaborate in destabilizing and couping against the government.
what good will that bring?

we can channel that rage to other means, and not just freaking shout in the streets!

you know what guys, i was once a militant student journalist myself. i even got to the point of interviewing the first secretary of the iraqi embassy who was sent home to iraq due to fears of his being a "terrorist". i have attended countless number of forums, rallies, seminars, and other forms of information dissemination to oust the current administration. an aunt of mine was the former COMELEC commissioner, who was abalos' (yep, that ZTE guy)main nemesis because my aunt pushed for the automation of the polls.
i know that abalos and the rest of every other administrations are corrupt. who wasn't anyways?!
but i just kept myself mum. why?! beause freaking rallies won't do us good!

none of the rallies that we had since 1986 had been so justifiable to prove its claims. maybe the edsa-2 would be a close one.
