New Filipino Rant

FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS AN OPINIONATED POST. I do not wish to offend or disappoint anyone with this entry.
I'm just so tired of all the hindrances to my country's development. Of course, everyone would have different opinions and solutions to the national problem. Others would blame the national situation, others would blame the President herself, and others to something else.
See, all of us see different sides of the story. On my viewpoint though, I see that unity is what the Philippines really needed.
Imagine a Philippines without these things. I'm sure my country would such be a better place to live at.

Just my 2 cents worth:

I have been ranting about the Philippine unity on my blog though I'm not from this country.

Unity in the Philippines is very important to its neighboring countries too as we all affect each other.

Filipinos are clamoring for unity for decades but nobody seem to listen.

Harsher punishments for economic sabotage (like what that Trillanes loooves doing) should be enforced.

Senators like him must be expelled from the Senate. He's a disgrace!

sometimes when Filipino think about their country... what they saw in their mind is just Metro Manila.

Metro Manila is not the Philippines, if Metro Manila is in trouble, it does not mean the whole country is also in trouble...

try to visit some other places outside Metro Manila, you will see people are peaceful, cooperative, etc... etc..

more or less Metro Manila is about 24-million population, and these Metro Manila people is the dominant votes, who choice what is good furtune for the Philippines (or Filipino), they influence the national culture...

Pag nag-revolution sa Metro Manila, revolution na ang buong Pilipinas.. i don't think so... Metro Manila is not the center of the universe...

That was a very good insight, Mindanaokini.

But as much as we'd like to think that way, the world won't view it the way we'd like them to.

Manila won't be the political and administrative center of the Philippines for nothing. If the center falls, everything falls...so at least to the eye of the world.

If I would be President of Southeast Asia (whoa! dreaming waah!) I would move the capital of the Philippines to Cebu, Cagayan de Oro or Davao. A FRESH START -- thats what we need.

The age-old conflict in Mindanao is an issue of faith. The age-old politicking in Manila is an issue of greed. These are two types of human frailties and deeply-embedded in our nature. How do we resolve it? My suggestion: tolerance above understanding. My 2 cents' worth. I like this blog.
