If I Were Not A Filipino (Part 2)
Do you like this story?
I know I have made this once before. This is just another what-if moment for me. Not trying to imply that I've been wishing for a different nationality cos I don't. I love my being a Filipino. I will just be imagining scenarios if I were not a Filipino.
If I were a Japanese guy, I would have pronounced everything "L" with an "R". I would have been listening to a lot of Leah Dizon songs. I would have watched a lot of Major League Baseball and a lot more UEFA Champions League. Maybe, I would have been good in either baseball or soccer. Wasabi would not have felt like toothpaste and that maybe learning Karate would not have been difficult. Ginza, Ropponggi and Shinjuku would have been my home turfs. Since my mom's part-Japanese, this would have been a not-so-difficult scenario.
If I were Belgian, then I would have been fluent in at least two languages: Dutch and French. I would have been both loving Paris and Amsterdam. I would have called Belgian waffles and Belgian chocolates as simply waffles and chocolates. Traveling to different parts of Europe would have been like going from one house to another. Maybe I would have spoken like English like a Jean Claude Van Damme or a Justine Henin.
(more to come soon...)
