If I Were President Noynoy (In Reaction To The Rallies In Hong Kong)
Do you like this story?
Image coming from The Jakarta Post |
If you're a Filipino and you don't seem to get bothered by this image of some 80,000-strong Hong Kong protesters rallying against how irresponsible Manila police were, then I guess you're the fulfillment to what Dr. Jose P. Rizal foresaw of a people that would be as masahol pa sa malansang isda (worse than a stinking fish).
This is really highly shameful. We can't afford to have Hong Kong get angry at us. It is like disappointing your debtor and make him get so frustrated at you, you're actually forcing him to add to your debt and cut off your source of income at the same time. It's like allowing Floyd Mayweather to beat Manny Pacquiao on a first-round while at the same time, allowing him to get inside Jinky Pacquiao's panties. That's how bad the situation is as far as the Philippine-Hong Kong relations stand at the moment.
If I were President Noynoy, I would have gone to Hong Kong even just for a day. Say sorry, be sincere, swallow whatever it was that the Hong Kong people might throw right at him. This is the most unselfish way for him to show how sorry the country really was over what had happened.
This needs to get fixed right away and the Manila police should allow Hong Kong investigators to do their job.

good quatation from a frend: "you
hate Filipinos for the hostage fiasco, right? then,
should i hate Chinese people for the lead poisoning and melamine
contamination wherein not 8, but hundreds, maybe even thousands have
suffered. is it right to blame a whole nation for a mistake of one man?
...if you do, then you are most certainly DENSE."
