Mother Pac(man)er

Lahat tayo ay may Aling Dionisia sa buhay. Ikaw, sino ang Aling Dionisia ng buhay mo?
That was the question I asked on my Facebook page a few minutes ago. The first paragraph declares that all of us have our own versions of Aling Dionisia, the now-famous mother of Manny Pacquiao. If Barack Obama got Marian Robinson, Manny Pacquiao got his as well.
I used to loathe the Mother Pac(man)er a lot. Her most fervent of prayers to the saints got me off for the past several years but it seems it has been only this year that the Mother Pac(man)er has blossomed into some lovable mother of all, thanks mainly to her 60th year debutante's party. It's better late than never.
I find her really endearing. In fact, she reminds me of some mothers who are quite like her: feisty, talkative, Visayan, and most of all, got sons who would instantly curl up when hearing their mom's voices.
Ikaw, don't you just love Aling Dionisia?

it's my first time here in your blog and i find it amusing. Yea, I have my own "aling dionisia" but it isn't mommy, but granny dionisia. Yes, my ever so loving grandmother. love the post, hope you can visit my site too. n_n

it's ok june. don't worry, hindi nagiging kamukha ni aling dionisia ang mga may gusto sa kanya. hahaha!
