Ten Things I Hate About Jeepneys
Do you like this story?
1. They play the loudest bass-filled music.
2. They are smoke belchers.
3. Drivers sometimes expose their beer-bellies at random while waiting for the traffic light to go green.
4. They stop anywhere and everywhere anytime and everytime!
5. They keep on getting caught by the policemen for always the same traffic violations!
6. Drivers are called professional drivers. I beg to disagree!
7. They will NEVER give you the right of way.
8. They seriously need to evolve into finer species!
9. They jam people up like canned sardines.
10. They never admit that the violated traffic rules!

I agree. That's the problem with us Filipinos. we tolerate them. If we try to moderate and control jeepneys (and jeepney drivers), then probably we could totally decongest traffic.

So true!! How I wish that they could improve the jeepneys that we have. Somehow, it had become an icon of the country and I just hope these improper systems/characters that cover the iconic jeepneys will be changed.

ALL TRUE!
very iconic.
very Filipino.
I hope the government has the initiative that these jeepneys of ours be converted to modern, efficient diesel powered engines so as to lessen the pollution in the Metro. And MMDA should prohibit sound systems which are too loud, and bass-oriented(I get headaches whenever I ride those jeepneys with large bass systems! ugh!)!
:D
