El Nido or Phuket?!
Do you like this story?
El Nido is one of the Philippines' most celebrated beach resorts. It's for the elite and well-heeled, something that backpackers might think twice before visiting.
I always thought that the Philippines had the bestest beaches to offer, not thinking that its neighbors had equally beautiful yet more popular beach destinations.
Thanks for Leonardo diCaprio's The Beach, I wouldn't have realized that Phuket, Thailand's well-loved tropical island, hosts a very similar scenery with my El Nido, only it is more popular with foreign tourists.
I have the picture for both tropical gems. However, it is up to you to decide which is which?!
which of the two countries is picture number 1 located?
or how about picture number 2?

I have been to El Nido ages ago so I could be wrong. I'm guessing the second picture is Amanpulo. Btw, was I right on your Paris post? Keep posting. :D

Hey, interesting comment on my blog about the Planetwalker. Not sure whether it was meant to be abuse, or constructive, but no I'm not American. I am sensitive to environmental issues if that wasn't clear, which as I note from your blog profile you mention nothing about despite working in Automotive... so do you drive a Hummer or a Prius?!

super sam, its an isuzu. a japanese- SUV maker. but i always you the MRT (Manila's subway). how'd you know my work's related to automotive.

pisanu, too bad i can't go to el nido. got school and work! but hey, that's quite close to our christmas vacation!
and abad, the second pix was el nido, not amanpulo. i don't think amanpulo has limestone cliffs. you can see some islets in amanpulo though. :)

I have been to Phuket and I would love to go back. It is a paradise. Sad thing is I'm living in the Philippines but havent been able to visit El Nido. I will try to plan a trip this year, promise!!!! :)
