You're A Model? You Must Be Kidding Right?!

Kinda obvious why Bar Refaeli is a model.

We live in a time wherein everyone can be anybody they put their mind into. Sister Act II proudly declared that "if you wake up each morning and all you think about is singing, then maybe you are a singer". The same thing goes with other things. As long as you put your mind into it, with sheer determination, luck and balls, you'd probably get it.

However, like all other things in life, this mantra can be so overdone. Not everyone can be a photographer (even if you got a DSLR camera). Not everyone can be a singer (no matter how much we sing on the shower). Not everyone can be a dancer (you can't cheat away with innate groove).

And like those aforementioned examples, not everyone can be a model.

I'm just amazed how this friend, who isn't tall and goodlooking (no, he doesn't have, as Tyra Banks put it, an amazing bone structure), would love to put "model" on his CV. True he got pictures taken professionally, but those pictures weren't taken for some ad campaign or whatever. They were just pictures taken by some guys disguised as photographers.

It's fascinating to see people do that on their Facebook albums. Admittedly, it must be fun to actually feel like a celebrity when you got your picture taken "professionally" but geez, you don't have to call yourself a "model" if you're butt ugly. It's great to dream big but remember to touch base with reality.
